Boy, it's been ages since I updated my journal. As you can see, I've been doing a fair amount of experimentation with vector art recently. As usual, I try to limit myself to non-commercial software, which in this case means OpenCanvas 1, Inkscape, and Gimp 2, all excellent programs. I'm trying to have a piece in progress at all times, so I actually put something out on a regular basis. We'll see how long that lasts. :)

Stuck the preliminary sketch for a digital painting into the scraps gallery. Haven't done anything seriously painterly before, but I suddenly had the urge, so here goes!

Added the beginnings of a new piece I'm workng on. Just a sketch for the moment (it's in scraps), but I was quite pleased with how it turned out, so I'll be inking and working it up a bit more. :w00t:
